In Dubai, citywide fine dining experience brings cultures together
DUBAI – For food lovers and culture seekers alike, the city of Dubai is offering an unprecedented opportunity to savour its rich and diverse gastronomy with the launch of ‘Dubai, A Fine Way to Dine’, a citywide initiative bringing together some of the emirate’s most sought-after dining experiences for a limited time.
Running until 19 April, the programme invites residents and visitors to explore, connect and celebrate the city’s dynamic culinary landscape through shared dining experiences.
The emirate’s gastronomy scene, long recognised as a cornerstone of its global appeal, draws inspiration from the flavours, techniques and traditions of nearly 200 nationalities calling Dubai home.
This unique melting pot, combined with a focus on quality and authenticity, has earned Dubai international acclaim as a culinary capital.
Participating restaurants include MICHELIN-starred and Bib Gourmand establishments, such as Avatara, Tresind Studio, Il Ristorante – Niko Romito, TakaHisa, Jun’s, The Guild, CÉ LA VI, Manao, 21grams and COYA, among many others.
For the first time, diners can access exclusive offers including up to 50 percent off à la carte menus, business lunches and set menus, providing an accessible window into the city’s high-end culinary scene.
Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), part of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), emphasised the cultural and social significance of the initiative.
“Dubai's gastronomy sector has become more than a pillar of our economy; it's a platform that connects our community. With so many nationalities calling Dubai home, our restaurants, cafes and culinary festivals become spaces where cultures converge, stories are shared, and connections are forged,” he said.
“Food brings us together in celebration of our shared humanity and remarkable diversity. This is the essence of Dubai, a city where our uniqueness enriches our collective experience and strengthens the bonds of our community,” Khaja added.
He also noted that “this latest initiative provides more of our residents and visitors with an opportunity to sample the city’s culinary excellence and discover why it has become so acclaimed globally.”
The initiative reflects Dubai’s long-standing commitment to blending internationally-acclaimed culinary brands with thriving homegrown concepts, creating a dining ecosystem that is both globally recognised and deeply intertwined with the city’s cultural fabric.
DET, the emirate’s principal authority for economic and tourism development, plays a central role in positioning Dubai as a global hub for business, investment, and tourism. Its initiatives, including D33, aim to double the size of Dubai’s economy by 2033 while enhancing the city’s reputation as a world-class destination for residents, visitors, and investors.
Through programmes like ‘Dubai, A Fine Way to Dine,’ DET demonstrates its commitment not only to economic growth but also to fostering cultural engagement and celebrating the emirate’s unique multicultural identity.
