Morocco king, Gabon leader discuss bilateral cooperation
RABAT - King Mohammed VI received on Thursday at the Royal Palace of Bouznika President of the Gabonese Republic Ali Bongo Ondimba, who is on a visit to Morocco.
This meeting reflects the friendly ties between the two countries.
Bongo tweeted that he discussed with King Mohammed VI bil bilateral cooperation and international issues.
“Very happy, and moved, to find my brother, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in Rabat. Our interview was both extremely warm and dense. We discussed bilateral cooperation issues, international issues, as well as more personal matters,” tweeted Bongo.
Bongo arrived on November 5 on a working and friendly visit to Morocco, on the eve of the Green March celebration.
Gabon’s Foreign Minister Pacome Moubelet Boubeya announced the same day that his country would organize various events in the city of Laayoune in order to strengthen its presence southern Morocco.
He reaffirmed his country’s support for Morocco’s territorial integrity after a meeting with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita.
