Middle East Online was established in London in 2000 by the late Dr. Haytham El-Zobaidi, one of the pioneers of Arab digital media. The website was among the first – indeed, the second – digital media platforms to focus on Arab affairs and has maintained an active media presence for over twenty-five years.

The website serves as a knowledge bridge connecting the Arab reader with the world, offering a journalistic vision that goes beyond news reporting to reach the underlying analysis and dimensions.
