Safi "Cluster Maintenance 4.0”

The main objectives of the cluster are to bring together all players concerned by industrial maintenance issues around the sharing of best practices, the increase in skills, competitiveness and attractiveness, the defence of their common interests and the prospecting of new markets.

SAFI - Placed at the heart of Morocco's industrial policy, clusters are positioned today as a collaborative mode of organization between companies and institutions, with the ultimate goal of enhancing and energizing the creative capacity of the territories.

The Marrakech-Safi Regional Investment Center has initiated, alongside several institutions, universities, large and medium-sized enterprises and startups, the foundations of the first cluster in Morocco for industrial maintenance and digitization in the province of Safi: “Cluster Maintenance 4.0” CM4.0.

The constituent general assembly met on December 1 at Youcode de Safi with the participation of its 9 founding members, namely OCP, Maghreb Steel, Digital Development Agency, UM6P, ENSA de Safi, OCP MS, CETIM, MBTEC and the CRI of Marrakech-Safi.

The industrial maintenance sector is not experiencing the crisis, with an annual market estimated at Dh1.3 billion.

In Morocco, more than 230 large companies, 840 SMEs, 1,500 startups and 800 institutional and R&D establishments are concerned. For the Marrakech-Safi region alone, the number of players directly concerned by industrial maintenance issues is estimated at more than 800.

This sector is undergoing profound changes, with the acceleration of digitization and the Internet of Things, which allows Morocco and the Marrakech-Safi region to have strong ambitions to become an international hub for industrial maintenance 4.0.

The main objectives of this cluster are to bring together all these players around the sharing of best practices, the increase in skills, competitiveness and attractiveness, the defence of their common interests and the prospecting of new markets.
